BEN OKRI
Ben Okri’s collaboration with painter Rosemary Clunie opens at The Royal Overseas League
Event Date: Tuesday 5 February – Sunday 14 April 2019, 10am – 6pm daily
What happens when text and image dance with one another? What happens when text and image awaken different parts of the brain and heart at the same time? Do we then have a new synthesis, a new art? Or do we have a primal battle?
These questions will be explored by award winning author Ben Okri and artist Rosemary Clunie in an illustrated conversation at Over-Seas House, London. Okri and Clunie will talk about their many collaborations during a long friendship, including their recent book The Magic Lamp, and the artworks which combine image and text currently on show at the Royal Over-Seas League.
All are welcome to attend the talk which begins at 7pm, and is followed by a book signing
General tickets are £12 and £10 for ROSL Members and Friends of ROSL Arts.
